The Children's Care Centre Society of Rural Strathcona was established in 1986 by a group of parents and community members. Their goal was to establish a non-profit, high quality childcare centre operated by a board of 5-15 volunteer community members. Over the past 25 years we have provided this much needed care to over 500 families in Strathcona County.
Mission Statement
The objectives of the society are to provide rural community group child care services for children of working parents in rural Strathcona County in accordance with the best standards of such services to facilitate:
a) adequate quality child care for all users
b) a non-profit society
c) gathering support and members from the Ardrossan and rural Strathcona County area as a community based organization
d) a commitment to hire trained staff
e) recognizing the rural nature of childcare requirements and to meet these requirements in innovative ways
f) after school care and bussing from area schools
g) providing flexible emergency child care
